Trying to maintain a productive morning routine, let alone get up in the morning in the middle of a pandemic is not easy. There’s days when you might not have any motivation at all, or days when you don’t complete all of the tasks you had listed out, and that’s okay!
It’s all about trying your best, and TikTok is here to help. Here are a couple of morning routine tips that you can try out:
Tip #1: Do not check your phone first thing in the morning.
Not looking at your phone first thing in the morning is hard, especially when you use your phone as your alarm clock. If that’s the case, then you might want to look into purchasing a digital alarm clock. This way you can store your phone away at night and not be tempted to look at it first thing in the morning.
Tip #2: Plan out the night before.
The more you plan out the night before, the higher the chances of you actually sticking to the plan in the morning.
Tip #3: Read and write.
Reading something you’re passionate about can help you wake up and increase your motivation. If you don’t like to read, you can opt out for an audio book or a motivational podcast instead. Also, writing out your daily affirmations, goals, and what you’re grateful for can help start your day on a positive note.
Tip #4: Jump out of bed and blast your favorite music.
If you’re often tempted to hit the snooze button and stay in bed a little longer, then this morning routine might be worth a try.
Tip #5: Some time to yourself is better than no time at all.
Morning routines might look cute and all, but truth is, not everyone has the same lifestyle, resources, and time. So if you don’t have the privilege of being able to use an hour of the morning for yourself, then try to commit to at least five minutes. Some self care is better than no self care at all.
